I don't find 'oops' to be presidential, but then most of what he proposes lacks merit or depth of thought or a legitimate factual basis.
From the portions of the debate that I watched, the clear winner was ...
ReplyDeleteJohn Harwood ... although Maria Bartiromo did offer a serious challenge.
That would be a duo that would benefit the country ... they knew the subject matter and rejected the BS that was flowing from behind the podiums.
I thought that Romney looked tired ... his comment about federal workers salaries was disputed by FactCheck ... and his plan to cut the number of Federal workers by 10% is not plausible considering other statements that he has made.
Did you watch T-Paw on Larry O'Donnell's program ? He must be kicking himself big time ... first for quiting and then for signing on to be Romney's spokesman.
Mitt Romney is certainly the luckiest politician in America. He's going to luck into the nomination with people hardly even remembering he's running.
ReplyDeleteAnd so, in the general election, he won't have a lot of crazy stuff to live down. That's going to be a big help to him.
Republicans won't like him, but they'll vote for him anyway, because they're absolutely hysterical about Barack Obama. They've claimed that he's the Antichrist for so long, they've come to believe it.
But yes, re. your post, Stewart and Colbert both nailed it. They're how I stay sane (or as sane as I do).
