Yesterday, Trayvon Martin would have celebrated his 18th birthday if not gunned down by vigilante George Zimmerman. Martin had been a good student, and would presumably have been preparing to graduate later this year, and to go on to college.
George Zimmerman had stalked Martin, contrary to the directives of the 911 dispatcher, and was carrying a gun, contrary to the rules and regulations of the Home Owners Association watch, as organized under the auspices of the local police force. His unwarranted pursuit of Martin led to a confrontation. The sole basis for Zimmerman stalking Martin, claiming he was suspicious, was that he was a black male teen.
He ended Trayvon Martin's life; for that, George Zimmerman should spend the rest of his life behind bars.
