Yes Beerdie, most tampons ARE smaller than .50 cal. However, the ones above are extra small; they're intended to be more highly portable, so they not only are extra small (they expand, rather in some respects like hollow point bullets) after insertion.
Clearly any size, width or length, are not appropriate for prohibition by the Texas legislature.
Guns, other than in the hands of law enforcement, have no place in government buildings.
When the legislators were worried about men armed with guns shooting them, they were turned away recently.
When the legislators were hoping that men with guns would be there to intimidate the women protesting right wing nut intrusion to their reproductive rights, the legislators were hoping that the men with guns would intimidate the women.
It failed. Apparently men with guns are afraid of estrogen and related items.
Guns over .50 Caliber are NFA items.
