Rest in Peace American hero and patriot, John Glenn

I will always think of him as he was portrayed in the astronaut story, "The Right Stuff" as the "clean marine".

I volunteered for his Presidential bid in 1984. I knew Mondale was too much saddled with Carter's failures and hoped a war hero/test pilot would be seen as strong enough against the cowboy, but he never got out of the starting gate. He was a good man, and far better than many of those who run for the office today.
