From Penigma, we would like to honor those of our readers who are fathers on this holiday dedicated to their celebration.
The artist who personifies the American popular art during the period during which the designation of Father's Day as a holiday originated, for me at least, is the late great depicter of Americana, Norman Rockwell. Here are a few of the paternal images from Rockwell, for inspiration.

As American as Father's Day seems to us, it is in fact celebrated world wide, although not alwasy on the same day we celebrate it. Here is a brief list of those nations which celebrate this holiday more or less at the same time we do.

I hope that makes it more special for you, to have it celebrated by so many Dad's, a sort of unity of Dad's across borders, something we can share as
common ground.

  1. Hello Dog Gone,
What a good and pleasant thought. Thank you.

My youngest is off for a week at Salisbury University today for "Girl State." My oldest did this when she was in high school and the networking aspect is one that she still enjoys today at the age of 31.
