Republicans can only win by cheating - so they do, because they don't mind winning that way

Cheating is a Republican value apparently, or a conservative one, because of the volume of dirty campaign tactics, even illegal campaign tactics use by conservatives far more than is used by democrats. They need to own this behavior, and to change it. 'Values' party my xxxxxxx (fill in body part of choice here).

It is quite likely that the Republican efforts to suppress the vote and to engage in election tampering has backfired on them, turning out far more people against them.

And the campaign didn't make this on a limited basis - they expanded it.  There have been a lot more complaints now than five, and the explanation given by the campaign that this was targeting Democrats living in Republican households is bogus.

But Flake isn't the only Arizona right wing politician who is making illegal robocalls; robocalls are illegal in Montana, but that didn't stop Jan Brewer, Governor of Arizona, from making them.  It didn't help though; possibly due to the resentment generated by robocalls, the Republican candidate lost, despite Montana being a mostly red state.
