SCOTUS

We have an aging Supreme Court. Several justices are in less that good health.

It occurs to me that while Hillary Clinton has done an excellent job as Secretary of State, she might be interested in having a longer impact than those which are partisan, those which come and go as administrations change. If she runs for President in 2016, great! But if she doesn't..........she is a very talented and qualified attorney in her own right, and has in the past not once, but twice, been listed as one of the nation's most significant lawyers.

You do not in fact have to have been a judge to be appointed to the SCOTUS. Hillary would be an interesting choice, although I could also see President Obama go for a nominee who is as qualified but also younger, so as to have a potentially longer time to contribute to the court as part of his legacy as well.

It would certainly make Hillary one of the most interesting and influential women in the nation's history, in terms of her career and contribution.
