Thanksgiving Today, not next week

This came into my private email today.

I want to pass it on to our Penigma readers, hoping you will all join me in saying thanks to our service men and women, in time for the official Thanksgiving Holiday next Thursday.  While the email I received was set to help us thank yous from residents of Minnesota, I have reset the link to the national USO Thank You page instead.  So if you are not from Minnesota - this still works for YOU to say thank you!  Wherever you are - please take advantage of this opportunityAnd if you can make a donation in support of our troops, please do that as well.

If for some reason the link I put in doesn't work for you - here is the long version

Can you take a minute to say thanks?

The USO's "Thanks from Everywhere" campaign is an effort to light up the country with messages of gratitude for our troops and veterans to read. I'm overwhelmed by the support people are showing from all across the country. Now, with less than two weeks to go until Thanksgiving, I want to make sure that Minnesota represents.
It will only take a moment to make sure Minnesota shines with notes of thanks. Imagine how much it will mean to service men and women from your state to see an outpouring of appreciation from home.
Will you say "Thanks from Minnesota" to our troops?
Across the country, we're honored to support the sacrifice and courage of our troops. With Thanksgiving approaching, we have the chance to show them what we are really thankful for in Minnesota.
When you send your message, it will be added to the USO's online "Thanks from Everywhere" map. Our troops can log on to the map and see all the messages from their home state -- so let's bring them a smile straight from Minnesota.
Add your message of thanks now and show that we say "Thanks from Minnesota" -- in time for Thanksgiving.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to show our troops how much we appreciate them.
For our troops,
Kelli Seely
USO Chief Development Officer
