Another school shooting - a student came to school with a shotgun

For those who don't believe there is a serious problem with long guns (in contrast to hand guns) being used in problem shootings.  No guns in schools. No armed guards shooting stupid students who bring guns to schools. No more guns in the hands of careless people who allow their guns to be taken from them by stupid teenaged boys.

This is another epic failure of our gun culture. More guns are the problem, not the solution; people do not use firearms responsibly too damned often.  Because of the danger they pose, we need to restrict them more than they are currently.  When rhubarb or fluffy bunnies or flower arrangements become as deadly dangerous, we will restrict them the way we do lethal things, either through frequent deliberate use or frequent accidental use, like guns or cars. Regardless of whether it is a right or a privilege, we have a right and a duty to limit deaths and injuries.
