is that so many of them are not really good. It is simplistic and superficial reasoning to assume that anyone legally carrying a gun, either open carry or concealed carry, is going to be law abiding all the time.
All it means is that so far, the person has not been convicted of a felony. It does not mean they will behave intelligently, correctly or heroically. It does not mean that they will even behave lawfully, as we see too often. It just means more people are roaming around in public with the capacity to use - and abuse - deadly force.
