About Right wing secular saint Ronnie Ray Gun.........
I'm amused at the cherry picking of the right wing - love Reagan, while they ignore most of what he said, and pretty much all of what he did, both good and bad. Right wing ideology lends itself to that kind of denial too often, too thoroughly.
Mr. Raygunz was not a friend of the union. He was, essentially, a mole for Lew Wasserman and company and presided over the deconstruction of the residual policy in place for actors, which was replaced by one much more favorable to the studios.

Raygunz was a stooge for the moguls (some of whom were in bed with the mob) and a willing enough "friendly" witness for the HUAC and McCarthy's witchhunters in the early 1950's.
In that Raygunz was no friend of labor, EVER, afaia, his hagiographers are right. They just don't get that he was an odious scumbag.
