I could not say it better than this Michigan legislator. Filling the seats that should be available to citizens with staffers? Locking out the citizens of the state while in session so they can neither be witness to the actions, or participants?
Republicans are dirty, they are unethical, immoral, and in this instance probably acting illegally. More than that, this kind of conduct is craven, cowardly, and unAmerican. These right wingers do not represent their constituents, and they are afraid of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They are afraid of "we the people", and they are neither patriots nor the majority.
Actions like this have consequences, and they are not going to be pretty for the right.
This is what corruption on the hoof looks like; this is the GOP.
