There is a difference, an important difference

  1. How can anyone really know how Gates votes DG?

  2. JOB, do you SERIOUSLY believe that the Koch brothers spend hundreds of millions of dollars, both their money on conservative candidates and causes, and corporate money they control, only to vote the opposite?

I don't actually know either that the President voted for himself, but I'm pretty confident that despite a secret ballot, he did not vote for Romney.

    Or were you being facetious?

    1. I'm not being facetious or sarcastic DG. Unless I'm mistaken, the bottom picture is of Bill Gates. The caption says "Liberals vote for the interest of the country, despite how it affects them personally.
I'm asking if you actually know for fact, how Bill Gates votes? Because I think something stinks. When it comes to Gates, and Warren Buffett, I don't buy it for a second. They think THEY should pay more in taxes? But yet use every loop hole available to get out of as much tax liability as possible. These two men specifically, are worth so much money, that I'm sure they could actually receive an appointment with the President himself. So I say this, you think you should pay more in taxes Mr. Buffett, and Mr. Gates? Then write the f##king check. I'm sure the federal government would be more than willing to oblige, along with the President himself. But they don't, do they? They put it in the hands of the Government, and politicians. But they don't have to. They have the kind of money to make a difference, but yet claim they can't, as if the Federal Government stands in their way.

And remember one thing DG, the next time you have a picture of Bill Gates on your Blog, you are downloading a picture of a man who did his best to create a modern day monopoly.

At least with the Koch Brothers, you know they're pieces of s##t. They don't try to hide it. Bill Gates? In my opinion is a different kind of A##hole. My Brother deals with "Liquid" people in his line of work. People who are worth very high 8 figures into 9 figures. He'll be the first to tell you, they are beyond security and income. It becomes a game to them, and all they care about is winning.

    2. I haven't seen the tax return of either of these two men; but I know what and whom they support.

It makes sense to me that they feel that paying more in taxes should be specific, and that they should comply at the same rate as people with similar wealth. It is about fairness and laws that apply equally, and random overpayment doesn't get anyone there.

More than that, while the current inheritance tax rates favor these two men being able to leave intact amassed wealth to their children, which has been a core part of the accumulation of wealth by the 1% (in many cases, although not either of these two) they are NOT choosing to do so. They've provided for their kids, but the majority of both their wealth is going to projects that benefit people - in this country, and in some cases world wide. I think that speaks well of their intent.

And YES, I agree that Bill Gates got where he is by doing some less than pristine pure business practices. I'm saying they are both of them, Buffet and Gates, in support of more fair taxation, which is also good for business. They have arguably already won, and left the playing field, other than a bit of dabbling.

Unlike the Koch brothers, they are not seeking the same kind of gratification of greed. I cannot imagine either Buffet or Gates voting for Romney. In the biggest difference between the Kochs and Gates/Buffet, I see the Kochs engaging in short term thinking and the other two in longer term thinking, and action.
