4 Cartoons Mocking Republican Political Hypocrisy, and a Joke

The most recent evidence of Ed Stein's genius to date:

And on the same subject of health care and government, we have the unique Minnesota genius of Steve Sack, STrib cartoonist, from May 9th, 2011:

Wasn't it the Republicans who made a lot of noise about how THEY were going to be listening to the people? And yet they haven't, have they? Over and over and over-reach they make the same mistakes they always do.  (Really, more of a joke, than a cartoon....)

John Boehner on February 13th, 2011 on Meet the Press said,
"Our job in Washington is to listen to the American people."
Really?

Or do you mean ONLY the big money people, and the corporations who aren't really people but whom you consider the only 'people' that count for you, and then only so long as they pay you big bucks?
Because, overwhelmingly, 'the America People' do not want you to change Medicare or Medicaid or Social Security.  Overwhelmingly, 'the American People' want the wealthiest taxed more, not to see the utterly DISASTEROUS Bush Tax Cuts extended.  Overwhelmingly, Americans want subsidies cut to big oil.  What they don't want are more Republican and Tea Party LIES.

You, Republicans -- and YOU TOO, Tea Partiers! - YOU are not listening.  You are hypocritically repeating how important it is for you to listen, and how you aren't going to engage in culture wars again, either, for that matter.

Then you do the exact opposite of what you say EVERY DAMN TIME.

Programs like the popular Medicare / Medicaid and Social Security WOULD NOT BE IN ANY FINANCIAL TROUBLE IN THE FUTURE, had primarily Republicans not taken the money from them out of the general fund.  Those programs were fully paid for from sources like our payroll taxes.  What you need to be doing - Republicans and Tea Partiers (and you too, Democrats!), is to pay back the money you STOLE, you damn legal thieves, to pay for all of the unfunded crap you passed.  What you need to be doing is listening to the people, not to the big money that bribes you, in effect, to act for them........and not for us!
Because WE vote, not corporations; and WE are not happy with YOU.

Well, we are not happy except maybe for the cartoonists for whom you supply unending material for satire.
