Why does the right go into denial every time they encounter facts that they don't like?

Media matters just keeps catching Fox News in their screw-ups. The conservative capacity for denying objective reality is truly astonishing -- and sad, very, very sad.  We saw this in the election where pundits and pundit wannabes engaged in elaborate contortions to try to justify their rejection of accurate polls, instead of accepting the truth, the facts, the reality when it doesn't coincide with what they want to believe.
