Poor "Turtleman"; the right is noshing and gnawing on their own. He has an even further right extremist primarying him, and a popular, moderate democratic candidate running against him from the left and center. He is increasingly unpopular in his own state and nationally - on a par with Bachmann in Minnesota and nationally.
It is oddly compelling and strangely fascinating to watch the right cannibalizing their own, as they fail, as they continue to fragment, as they try to scapegoat each other for their very much shared failure. That is failure for their tattered and delusional ideology, that is failure, above all, for the nation.
