Of Republicans, Economic Policy, and Pianos

Republican economic policy is similar to the way these elephants play the piano. They bang away on the same few jarring notes with the same lack of expertise, combined with great enthusiasm, and the conviction they are performing wonderfully.  Fortunately, there is no harm done by real elephants, except to the piano over time, unlike the effects of Republican policy on our economy. Sadly, the GOP believes themselves to be economic impresarios, and master musicians, when the reality is they're more like Peter the elephant below.

Lately the right has been particularly tone deaf, on all areas of policy making.
