If we are going to be better than the right wing hate blogs, we need to refrain from using profanities and name-calling as our "matter of course", I think it's a funny point, but it could be made without calling him a
Yes, but of course this was not an image of my creation (although I'm looking at free or low cost photo editing packages for the blog, I would enjoy experimenting with doing my own). I liked it because I was nostalgic for the old retro-television series with the late, great Fred Gwynne, and because the facial structures had an interesting similarity of facial planes.
But the reality is that Joe Walsh adheres to a very revisionist view of the world that truly does deviate from reality in more than the harmless and happy fictional Munsters.
He lost in the last election cycle after one term, where among other things in his efforts at re-election he mimicked Michele Bachmann's Islamophobia, claiming "there are radical Muslims in Chicago’s suburbs and around the country “trying to kill Americans every week.”
While campaigning he made the claim "“There’s no such exception as life of the mother,” Walsh told reporters following the debate. “And as far as health of the mother – same thing. Advances in science and technology. Health of the mother has been, has become a tool for abortions any time and for any reason.”
In response, the American College of Gynecology and Obstetrics noted: “Contrary to the inaccurate statements made yesterday by Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL), abortions are necessary in a number of circumstances to save the life of a woman or to preserve her health,” the College wrote in a statement. “Unfortunately, pregnancy is not a risk-free life event, particularly for many women with chronic medical conditions. Despite all of our medical advances, more than 600 women die each year from pregnancy and childbirth-related reasons right here in the US. In fact, many more women would die each year if they did not have access to abortion to protect their health or to save their lives.”
Walsh is one of the more extremist of the Tea Party candidates; he is now organizing a counter Super PAC to oppose the Rove Super PAC against the far right extremist candidates who have proven unelectable that have been primarying the GOP. Apparently he prefers to do that over getting a paying job and supporting his children; he is a perennial dead beat dad -- ya gotta love the Hypocrisy of the GOP 'family' values candidates.
Joe "End my child support" Walsh
